koshpath.in is a personal finance website run by Punit Sharma, AMFI Registered Mutual Fund Distributor (ARN-341000), based in Ahmedabad, India. Koshpath is the mutual fund distribution practice of Punit Sharma.

This policy explains how information about you is handled when you read the site, use its calculators, or get in touch. It applies only to koshpath.in. Other websites we link to have their own policies.

The site is a static website. It has no user accounts, no login, and no database of visitors. Here is what is collected, and by whom.

Contact form

The form on the Contact page asks for your name, email address, an optional phone number, a topic and your message. When you press send, your browser turns those fields into a WhatsApp message and opens WhatsApp. Nothing is sent to or stored on a koshpath.in server. The message then travels over WhatsApp, which is run by Meta Platforms and governed by WhatsApp's own privacy policy.

WhatsApp, email and phone

If you message us on WhatsApp, email us, or call, we receive whatever you choose to share: your name, number or email address, and the contents of the conversation, including any documents you send such as portfolio statements or policy copies. We use this only to reply to you and, if you ask, to help with your financial planning. We keep these conversations for as long as we are in touch with you, or for as long as the law requires for distribution records.

Website analytics

The site uses Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights, provided by Vercel Inc., which hosts the site. These record page views, the page you came from, your country and region, device and browser type, and page loading speed. Vercel Analytics does not use cookies and does not store your IP address; it generates a short-lived, anonymised identifier that cannot be used to recognise you across days or websites. We see only aggregate numbers such as how many people read a post. Vercel's own privacy policy governs how it processes this data.

Hosting and fonts

Like any website, our hosting provider (Vercel) receives your IP address and basic request details in order to deliver pages to you, and may keep short-term server logs for security. The site also loads the Inter typeface from Google Fonts, which means Google's servers receive your IP address and browser details when the font is fetched.

Calculators

Every calculator on this site runs entirely in your browser. The figures you type into the SIP, lumpsum, SWP, EMI and in-article calculators are never sent to any server and are not seen by us. The only thing a calculator saves is your chosen currency and number format, which is kept in your browser's local storage so it stays the same on your next visit. You can clear it from your browser settings at any time.

koshpath.in itself does not set tracking cookies. As described above, calculators use local storage for a display preference, which is not a cookie and is not shared with anyone.

Third parties may set cookies when their content loads on our pages. Today that is limited to advertising, described in the next section. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will keep working if you do.

We may display advertisements served by Google AdSense to help cover the cost of running this site. When ads are shown:

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with anyone except the service providers named on this page, mutual fund houses and registrars when you ask us to process an investment, and authorities where the law requires it.

India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 sets out how digital personal data should be collected and used, and gives individuals rights over their data, including the right to know what is held about them, to have it corrected or erased, and to raise a grievance. We aim to follow its principles: collect only what is needed, use it only for the purpose you gave it, keep it only as long as necessary, and keep it secure.

If you would like to know what information we hold about you, want it corrected or deleted, or want us to stop contacting you, write to us using the details on this page. We will respond within a reasonable time. Deleting records may not be possible where regulation requires us to keep them, in which case we will tell you.

This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

We will update this page if the way the site handles data changes, for example if we add a newsletter or a new analytics tool. The effective date at the top tells you when it was last revised.
